Regional Sales Engineer - New England or NY/NJ

The Regional Sales Engineer is the focus of all sales presentations/partner presentations and technical evaluations with accounts, and works closely with Software Sales representatives for pre-sales activities.

Responsibilities: Opportunity qualification; Product demonstration; Technical presentations; On-site product installation, training and sales support; Heavy regional travel required - 60+% on-site working with customers and partners.

Experience: Candidate will have a proven track record of working with sales teams; Experience with Application Performance Management or System Management space; Ability and experience to influence/educate prospective customers & partners by way in demonstrations, technical resources to more best sell technical solutions; Knowledge of the role of a SE; Strong analytical skills; Creative problem solving abikities; Work well in a team environment.

Qualifications: BS Computer Science Degree or equivalent; 5+ years of technical sales experience; Strong interpersonal and presentation skills-required both oral and written; Ability to articulate and educate customers about a complex technology; Ability to delineate complex technical and political situations with customers and partners; Thorough knowledge involving SE tasks-roles regarding the sales lifecycle.
