The successful Aternity Regional Sales Engineer is a core technical resource for the field sales organization. The position is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for Aternity’s Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform. - Must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
- Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
- Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
In addition, the Aternity Regional Sales Engineer will:
- Provide product and technical demonstrations
- Be responsible for project management and implementation
- Provide training and sales support
- Travel regionally as required -- 60+% working on-site with customers and partners
Experience: The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- A proven track record as a Sales Engineer working with sales professional services teams
- Experience with enterprise applications, Application Performance Management or system management technologies
- Ability and experience of educating prospective customers and partners by way of in-depth product knowledge and compelling demonstrations
- Strong analytical skills
- Creative problem solving abilities
- Ability to work exceptionally well in a team environment
- BS Computer Science Degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of technical sales experience
- Strong presentation and communications skills, both oral and written
- Ability to navigate complex technical and political situations with customers and partners
