Ken Tyminski - Former IT Executive, Prudential Insurance

Ken Tyminksi was Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at The Prudential Insurance Company of America. In this position he is responsible for ensuring that Prudential’s business systems are architected and implemented securely. He sets technology security policy, establishes standards and insures that appropriate security controls are in place.

Ken joined Prudential in 1974. Prior to assuming his current position, Tyminski held several assignments in Corporate Technology Services. He has managed the Operations Control Center, the Help Desk and Controls and Compliance organizations. He was responsible for creating and managing the centralized technical support organization and establishing Prudential’s Systems Management Strategy. Additionally, he has run Prudential’s Corporate Data Center located in Roseland, New Jersey and held positions where he was responsible for Emerging Technology Research, Data Base Systems and Companywide Technical Support.

Tyminski graduated Magna Cum Laude from Upsala College with a BS degree in Business Administration. He also has earned a certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
