Aternity Named To Annual Top 10 List Of Most Promising Startups

Leader of End User Experience Management Earns Prestigious Recognition at Ernst & Young Conference for Continued Technology Innovation, Management Strength, Customer Acquisitions, and Financial Health

Globes-top-10-AternityBOSTON, MA (USA) and Tel Aviv (IL) — November 4, 2008  Aternity Inc., the industry's technology leader in end user experience management solutions for Global 1000 enterprises, proudly announced today that it has been named as one of the top 10 “most promising startups of 2008,” by Globes, the national Israeli business newspaper. Aternity was bestowed the honor on Monday at the 12th Annual Conference for Venture Capitalists and Entrepreneurs of Emerging Growth Companies, hosted by Globes and Ernst & Young.

This is the fourth year that Globes published this ranking. The companies are shortlisted by a distinguished panel of judges, which includes venture capitalists, R&D center managers, angel investors, and prominent business leaders.

"We are honored that Globes ranked Aternity among the top 10 most promising emerging companies," said Trevor Matz, president and CEO of Aternity. "This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team.   We continue to push the APM envelope with our Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform through our winning combination of an exceptional employee base, innovative enterprise-class technology, and an unwavering commitment to customer success."

Aternity was ranked by Globes as the seventh most promising startup with Israeli roots.  After the US, Israel has the largest number of high-tech startups – and 80 percent of the 3,000 Israeli companies involved in R&D are less than 10 years old. Newsweek has called Israel Silicon Valley's only rival outside the US; Fortune magazine has lauded its technological innovations. Microsoft, IBM, Intel, and countless others have acquired Israeli companies, technology, and brainpower.*

Globes' top 10 "most promising startups" marks the fifth time in 2008 that Aternity has received third-party recognition for both its technology excellence and its management strength. These highlights include being named a Gartner Cool Vendor in IT Operations, earning a finalist spot for the 2008 American Business Awards within the "Best Management Team" category, having its CTO and Co-Founder, Eden Shochat, recognized as a Top 40 Israeli Internet Startup Professional by The Marker magazine for trailblazing high-tech innovation in emerging markets.  Earlier this year, Aternity was also selected by the producers of DEMO to present a live 6-minute "day-in-the-life" demonstration at DEMO 08.
