Analyst Research Reinforces Increased Adoption of End User Experience Management Software and Services
Gartner Dataquest predicts that between 2005 and 2011 IT spending on availability and performance tools, including those for end user experience monitoring and management, will rise by more than 45 percent, ultimately sizing the total market opportunity at more than $3.5 Billion USD. And, according to Jean-Pierre Garbani of Forrester Research, there are more than 30,000 enterprises that have over 100 servers today - and 40 percent of these enterprises are potential targets for deploying end user experience monitoring solutions*
“Every month we are seeing the number of end user experience management inquiries from Global 1000 enterprises rise exponentially,” said Trevor Matz, President and CEO of Aternity. “This interest together with our recent announcement of significant global wins in the insurance market, indicate a strong shift in IT and LOB priorities, and further validates that end user experience management software and solutions are being embraced more and more as a key competitive differentiator.”
Generating Frontline Performance Intelligence from Real End User Experience
Aternity is the first and only vendor to offer a Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform. Formally launched in the U.S. in January 2008 at DEMO, Aternity’s platform uniquely provides the capabilities to effectively monitor, analyze and correlate the three core KPIs of “real” End User Experience – as prioritized by the survey respondents:
- Desktop Performance – Real or Virtual (Citrix, Terminal Server and VDI): Running Processes, CPU and Memory Utilization, Non-responding Processes, Crashed Applications, Error Messages, Process Latency, etc.
- Application Performance – Response Time, Throughput, Latency and End-to-End Transaction Time for any business activity independent of the underlying application technology including HTTP(s), Citrix/ICA, Terminal Server/RDP, Client/Server, Java, etc.
- User Productivity – Number of business activities performed, e.g. emails sent or received, trades completed, calls closed, etc. Application, module and function usage statistics, correlative nature of application usage, application usage trails, etc.
