Electronic health records (EHRs) are required by all healthcare organizations by 2014 according to President Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). According to HIMSS, only 6% of hospitals have EHRs which would qualify under the federal mandate. One of the barriers to EHR adoption is physician resistance.
