Application Performance Monitoring for any Application, Business Process or Desktop
Broadest Range of User-Centric, Application Performance Monitoring Capabilities for Comprehensive Enterprise View
The patented Aternity Frontline Performance Intelligence (FPI) Platform is architected to support end user experience monitoring of the broadest range of application and desktop architectures that exist within today’s enterprises. In addition, the platform’s extensibility ensures it is “future proof” for any planned or unplanned application, desktop, and architecture change.
Aternity monitors end user behavior
by passively “listening” for application activity signatures at the operating system level. Since different application architectures require integration with different operating system level signatures, Aternity provides support for monitoring the broadest range of application architectures available today. The Aternity Agent captures user-defined business activities or processes, such as “logon,” “order item” or “add new customer,” for the specific application architecture. Business Activities can be granular single step processes or complex, multi-step processes spanning multiple applications. Aternity currently supports the following application and (physical or virtual) desktop architectures and technologies:
- Web-based applications, e.g. SharePoint, Siebel, Custom Applications
- Rich Internet applications, e.g. AJAX, Javascript
- COM applications, e.g. Outlook
- Client/Server applications, e.g. SAPGUI, Electronic Medical
Record Apps (EMRs)
- Java applications (AWT & Swing), e.g. Custom Trading Application
- JInitiator-based applications, e.g. Oracle E-Business Suite
- Citrix XenApp (ICA)
- Terminal Services (RDP)
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (ICA or RDP)
The Aternity FPI Platform seamlessly integrates with the following key desktop technologies to comprehensively monitor both physical and virtual desktop monitoring for performance in order to deliver breakthrough new technologies such as Boot Profiling and Real-time Application Profiling:
- Software & Hardware Inventory
- Registry
- Process Details, including detection of hung and crashed processes
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
- Stateful Event Log Inspection, e.g. matching for system and application events
- Windows Scripting Host (WSH), with full support of VBScript and Javascript
